David attended Purdue University originally thinking he would become a doctor but the entrepreneurial bug continued to bite at him and he swiftly shifted his focus to business. He spent much of his college years earning extra income working in general contracting and construction. During this time, he saw firsthand how the most successful contractors were those who valued honesty, customer service, and top-tier workmanship. He enjoyed the relationship building aspect of capturing a homeowners vision for what they wanted their home to look like and he finally understood where and what he was being called to. ​​
At Indy Legacy Builders, we believe that honesty, integrity, and quality craftsmanship are the foundation of a successful roofing company. As a locally owned and operated business based in Fishers, Indiana, we take pride in serving our community with superior residential and commercial roofing solutions.
Founded by David and Marisha Felton, Indy Legacy Builders was born out of a desire to bring a higher standard of service to the roofing industry—one that prioritizes people over profit. With over six years in business, we have built a reputation on reliability, transparency, and exceptional workmanship, setting a new benchmark for roofing in Fishers and the surrounding Indianapolis area.
Our Story
David and Marisha both grew up in Zionsville, Indiana, with deep roots in the world of construction and home improvement throughout their lives. They both grew up serving at their respective churches on multiple construction oriented missions teams and developed a passion for the field.

Meanwhile, Marisha worked for her parents business, a high end, custom contracting company based out of Zionsville, which has been serving Indiana communities for over 30 years. She managed operations and employee management for that company and loved the "behind the scenes" aspect of the construction business. David teases her and lovingly refers to her as his little spreadsheet nerd.
David and Marisha's mutual dream of starting their family legacy became a reality when Indy Legacy Builders was launched in 2019.,This was something they could not only use to serve their community, but to assist in teaching their "future children" (Now very much a reality) about hard work, honesty, dedication and the value of the legacy we leave. They have been able to combine their respective experiences to serve Indiana communities truly operating as a family business.
Today, Indy Legacy Builders continues to grow by serving their central Indiana community through their residential roofing, commercial roofing, storm damage repair, seamless gutter and siding installation services.​
Meanwhile, the dedicated team of roofers have decades of combined experience, and are led by our roofing foreman, Bigley; the 4-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog (pictured above). You may see Bigley and his little siblings on the jobsite on a nice day keeping the guys in line making sure our family is keeping you happy!
